About Us

WW Martin (Thanet) Limited was incorporated in 1952 by Archibald and Charles Martin, sons of the founder William Woodgate Martin. They were succeeded by Archibald’s son, John Western Martin and five of Charles’ sons, Jim, David, George, Alec and John

John retired as Chairman in 2004 and handed over the reigns to current Chairman, Alan Plant and Managing Director, Mike Loveday. Mike himself retires at the end of 2007 when Tony Morland takes over as Chief Executive Officer.

The company has always maintained a highly skilled, highly trained, directly employed workforce and joinery workshop; offering clients certainty of delivery and guaranteed quality.

Our work embraces a wide portfolio that includes luxury, one-off private houses, social housing, education, leisure, heritage, healthcare and conservation.

Geographically we work throughout Kent, east of a line made by Dartford, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Ashford and Lydd.
